Recognition of prior learning course
for existing license holders
The introduction of the Private Security Act 2004 has bought with it some new changes for the security industry.
All Security Guards, Crowd Controllers, Bodyguards, Control Room Operators and Investigators are now required to UPDATE THEIR TRAINING !
The International College of Kenshusei have designed an RPL security license upgrade programme to make your transition to the new security requirements painless yet informative.
Our goal is to provide you with the required training and support necessary to upgrade your qualification to the new PRS03 standards.
The International College of Kenshusei will recognise your past qualifications, learning and experience via our RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) Program.
RPL requirements, for security personnel will from one individual to another! it's for this reason that the International College of Kenhusei have developed our unique upgrade program.
Please follow the steps listed below.

Enrol into the Bridging Course RPL Upgrade program

| Step 2 |
Attend the RPL mediation session. This session is designed to guide and assit you through the RPL process. By the end of this session you will have a clearer understanding of the qualification changes and be on your way to completing your own personal portfolio to acheive a successful application. |
| Step 3 |
Complete your portfolio. Complete the required tasks set by your assessor. This will consist of compiling a list of required evidences to complete your portfolio.

| Step 4 |
Finalise otstanding requirements. It is fair to say that most applicants may require some additional sessions to meet the new qualification requirements. This may include, but not necessarily limited to PRSS0222A
Protect self and others using basic defensive tactics, THHBFB09A Provide rsponsible serving of alchohol and PRSS0206A Provide First Aid.

Course Duration
The length of the additional training you will be required to undertake will depend upon your work experience, education, current relevant certificates and skills level. However, as a guide an average course undertaken as an RPL participant should not exceed 5 days. (Excluding First Aid)
Please note: If you are not deemed eligible for RPL you may have to complete further training.
RPL Costs
- RPL fee $250 per certificate level
- additional training $70 per day (excluding first aid)
- PRSS0206A Provide First Aid. $180
