The Diploma Qualification is the highest qualification for the sport industry recognised under the national qualifications framework and has been structured for the martial arts industry. The course was originally released by Sport and Recreation Australia (SRTA) under the authority of the (ANTA) Australian National Training Authority and is now recognised by the Service Industry Skills Council (SISC).
This Sport Industry training package qualification holds the relevant units of competence for the various sporting disciplines and now allow participants to attain formal recognition from the government and the community for their sporting discipline studies.
The Diploma qualification is ideal for industry leaders, organisation leaders, sporting club owners, operators, managers and is especially important if you are interested in the pertinent qualifications to match your senior position. Co-ordinate training for your organisation, senior coaches and assisstants. It is recommended that all organisation heads set a personal goal to become Diploma qualified. You will become recognised as attaining the highest degree of qualification, necessary as a sport industry leader. Help your senior coaches, their assisstants and your members attain nationally recognised coach status.
What sporting discipline can I do?
Specialisations include but are NOT necessarily limited to,
Golf Professional, Martial Arts, Rugby League, Swimming.
You may now train in your favorite sporting activity / study this training package and upon successful completion of all units, receive a government recognised qualification.
Delivery modes:
This qualification can be achieved via the International College of Kenshusei famous flexible delivery program that includes a combination of the following delivery modes:- Home study, On-line, Face to Face workshops and on the job-(sporting activity) under the direction of qualified ICK trainers and assessors.
Assessment
This course is a combination of physical and theoretical sporting studies. Assessment is based on successful completion of all workbook activities, portfolio development (personal CV, previous certification, references) attendance at International College of Kenshusei seminars, successful completion of written assessment paper for each cluster of units. Final assessment for this qualification is a collaborative effort between the International College of Kenshusei and the sporting club officials that will highlight the applicants on the job and practical performance.
RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning)
RPL recognises the skills you have gained from other courses, life experience, work experience and training provided at work. The RPL process measures your skills against the outcomes of a course or module.
RPL includes course/module exemptions.
RPL does not include Credit Transfer.
It is important to apply for RPL if you think you have already got some experience that might be relevant to your course.
Summary of diploma Modules
Core: Promote legal responsibilities, manage meetings and staff, people performance, marketing, determine the needs of client populations, manage culture and education to expand participation in the sports, foster values and ethos of the phenomenon of play. analyse risk community operations
Coaching Stream: Implement talent identification programs, establish selection policies for programs, evaluate , analyse and modify long term training programs for high performance, plan and prepare the participants to meet the demands of high level participation. Provide leadership to groups.
Sporting Specialisation:-Teach or develop the high performance skills of sport, prepare and customise planning for the high performance skills of sport, design long term training plan for a high performance sporting participant including but not necessarily limited to
Golf Professional, Martial Arts, Rugby League, Swimming.
Electives:- Co-ordinate and implement first aid training for staff and instructors, business management, develop, establish and evaluate marketing strategies and opportunities, analyse the psychology of the sport, teach, develop and manage the advanced strength and conditioning skills required for high performance sporting athletes.
Cost:- $$1650 (price does not include the cost of your sporting activity or first aid refresher if required)
Refund policy Once course materials have been issued to the student, no refund will be given. The International College of Kenshusei will refund all payments made by a student if the course is cancelled.
